What I can do for you
My personalised approach intends to facilitate a journey of becoming a winner. Few people are one hundred percent winners or one hundred percent losers. It’s a matter of degree. However, once a person is on the road to being a winner, their chances are far more probable to become even more so.
Individuals
I work with individuals on a wide range of experiences and concerns - self-esteem, anxiety, relationship issues, depression, sleep difficulties, stress-related issues and burnout, bereavement, and supporting clients through personal growth and flourishing at any stage of life.My therapeutic approach involves Effective Brief psychotherapy, Solution-focused psychotherapy, Attachment-focused psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems Theory, Transactional Analysis, Developmental, Positive and Gestalt psychologies, Role theory and Existential psychotherapy.
Couples
Relationships are important for everyone. There are a range of reasons why people may need help with their relationship: infidelity, commitment issues, grief, family difficulties, adjustment problems and concurrent difficulties, such as depression.Couple psychotherapy focuses on the relationships that partners create together, the patterns of dealing with stress that may not be working for them, and the reasons underlying those patterns. The experience of exploring and communicating about these concerns in a safe environment can make a huge difference.
My therapeutic approach involves Role theory, Attachment Focussed Family Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy and Positive Psychotherapy.
Organisations
Team building & Stress management & Conflict resolution - tailored to meet the needs of your team in a relaxed and stress-free environment.Balancing work-life balance while staying productive and engaged in a high-pressure workplace is challenging. There are practical approaches to professional development and teamwork which can be implemented.
My approach involves Psychodrama and Group Work, Sociometry, and Role theory, which is goal-oriented. I keep up-to-date with the latest research findings in brain development/functioning and how these studies are integrated into therapeutic approaches for stress and anxiety management.
Events
Overcoming anxiety
Everyone can feel anxious… - some of the time. But too much anxiety can be problematic
when it gets out of control: Overwhelming, unrealistic fears or worries; Panic attacks;
Catastrophic thinking; Phobias; Obsessive-compulsive behaviours; Post-traumatic stress
reactions can stop you from living your life as you would like to and can become as
disabling as any chronic physical illness.
But anxiety is not all-powerful and inexplicable.
It can be managed easily when you know how. Whatever your own level or cause of anxiety, there are ways to overcome it. Group methods give chances to participants to work indirectly and / or directly on their issue - you can share about yourself as much as you are comfortable, confidentiality is a paramount. I am offering a group work that is designed to safely allow a person to approach their feared situation in a safe and supportive environment. A group is limited to 12 participants to allow each session to learn and practice.
My therapeutic approach seeks to honour each member of the group by creating a safe and supportive environment. It involves creativity in building / improving your relationships with self and others, role play, poetry making, story telling, guided imagery and others.
